Responsibility

• Monitor systems and products on a daily basis to ensure systems are performing as expected

• Maintain important data center environmental systems, disaster recovery, monitoring, and alerting systems

• Document internal processes and procedures related to systems administration

• Adhere to established service level agreements in consultation with end users to establish expectations and time frames for problem resolutions

• Participate as a member of an on-call rotation to support multiple systems during off-hours

• Work evenings and weekends as needed

Required skills

• 5+ years of related experience

• Solid Linux administration skills with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, and Ubuntu

• Ability to effectively communicate with a global team

• Experience with automated configuration management workflows and technologies like Puppet, Chef, or CFEngine

• Experience with Red Hat-based Linux distributions

• Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios and Zabbix

• Experience with virtualization technologies, especially Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) and KVM

• Linux certifications are an advantage

• Excellent interpersonal skills, especially with listening and questioning

• Application and process support experience in a 24x7 environment

• Ability to work flexible hours
