  • nice - run a program with modified scheduling priority

    nice [OPTION] [COMMAND [ARG]...]
    Run COMMAND with an adjusted niceness, which affects process
           scheduling. With no COMMAND, print the current niceness. Nicenesses
           range from -20 (most favorable scheduling) to 19 (least favorable).

           -n, --adjustment=N
  • nice - change process priority

    #include <unistd.h>

           int nice(int inc);

       Feature Test Macro Requirements for glibc (see feature_test_macros(7)):
    nice() adds inc to the nice value for the calling process. (A higher
           nice value means a low priority.) Only the superuser may specify a
           negative increment, or priority increase. The range for nice values is
           described in getpriority(2).

  • 深入 Linux 的进程优先级

    为什么要有进程优先级?这似乎不用过多的解释,毕竟自从多任务操作系统诞生以来,进程执行占用cpu的能力就是一个必须要可以人为控制的事情。因为有的进程相对重要,而有的进程则没那么重要。
