  • zip - package and compress (archive) files

    zip [-aABcdDeEfFghjklLmoqrRSTuvVwXyz!@$] [--longoption ...] [-b path]
[-n suffixes] [-t date] [-tt date] [zipfile [file ...]] [-xi list]

           zipcloak (see separate man page)

zip is a compression and file packaging utility for Unix, VMS, MSDOS,
OS/2, Windows 9x/NT/XP, Minix, Atari, Macintosh, Amiga, and Acorn RISC
OS. It is analogous to a combination of the Unix commands tar(1) and
compress(1) and is compatible with PKZIP (Phil Katz's ZIP for MSDOS
           systems).

    unzip [-Z] [-cflptTuvz[abjnoqsCDKLMUVWX$/:^]] file[.zip] [file(s) ...]
           [-x xfile(s) ...] [-d exdir]
unzip will list, test, or extract files from a ZIP archive, commonly
found on MS-DOS systems. The default behavior (with no options) is to
extract into the current directory (and subdirectories below it) all
files from the specified ZIP archive. A companion program, zip(1),
creates ZIP archives; both programs are compatible with archives
